About Us

Meadow Creature LLC manufactures Meadow Creature® Broadforks, the broadforks
most recommended by serious gardeners, small scale growers, and permaculturalists.
Headquartered on Vashon Island in the heart of Puget Sound in Western Washington,
Meadow Creature® was founded by an MIT trained engineer responding to the needs of
market farmers in the community. With an obsession for rugged durability and the goal
of digging deep, he created the first Meadow Creature® broadfork and the farmers
loved it. In partnership with serious growers, we have created a tight assortment of
ultra-durable hand tools that get the job done.

Mission

MEADOW CREATURE ® EQUIPS GROWERS AND GARDENERS WITH HIGH
QUALITY, ULTRA-DURABLE, RELIABLE TOOLS FOR IMPROVING SOIL HEALTH
AND CROP YIELDS.

Giving

Since opening our doors in 2009 we have donated a minimum of 2% gross annual sales
in products and services every year to nonprofits that empower people to feed

themselves in an environmentally responsible way. We have donated hundreds of
broadforks across communities throughout the United States including schools,
community gardens, land trusts, and other nonprofits that teach people to grow food
sustainably.
