This is the best broadfork I’ve come across!
The curved tines make digging into my clay soil much less of a struggle. Having the outer tines extend up the handles and welded to them makes it so much more durable than wood handles!
The long handles are also great for someone my height (6’3”). I’m able to get plenty of leverage without stooping.
Compared to other broadforks in this price range, it’s miles above in quality!
Very well-packaged. Awestruck when I opened the box! Good solid piece of hardware --just the right weight and well-balanced. After a bit of practice, I caught on to the "technique". The clay soil was dry on trial run and it took some coaxing to go all the way down (but do-able). But, if you hit it after an overnight/early morning rain (or wet it down a bit), it goes down like a hot knife through butter! The earthworms love it.
Heavy duty I like it
OKAY!
I put this thing to work immediately trying to loosen up some seriously solid ground. There were more than a few times it was hard to even get into the ground let alone raise the ground at all. By the end of the day I was tired, sore, exhausted, and not even halfway done. With some of the paint already worn off the top of the handle from use, the broadfork showed no signs of slowing down and worked just as hard the next day. Can't say the same thing for myself. Solid piece of equipment (that will only get easier to use as the years go by!)
